The puzzles are not difficult, and the story is not immediately apparent, though quite simple. Music for the game was caringly composed. If you are looking for a short break from your everyday tasks or something new to break up the monotony, I recommend this game; especially as it can be beaten in about two hours (or less I suppose if you're very focused).. Definitely worth for the sale price :) The animation is cute and the concept is simple. Exploring can be a little annoying as navigating around the house can be a little confusing at first. There are some items that you collect along the way that isn't necessary to complete the game so if you are slightly OCD and need to finish things perfectly, take your time and search around properly. In saying so, even if you don't complete your inventory the first time, you can speed run through the second time and complete it within couple of hours :). Superb value for money. Around one and half our for few pence. Sweet heartwarming story and beautiful pixel art! Highly recommended.. To start off, I bought this game for just under $1USD. Very much so worth it.First off, you start the game leaving a boat on your way to fix a clock tower, after fixing the clock the game really begins. Now normally I would complain about a game whos objectives require you to run some ways back and forth to accomplish a goal, but this game does it in an interesting way. You do have to figure out what goes where and where to find things but everything changes as you progress through the game between the years 2009 and 2010. This simple mechanic makes the fetching and searching exciting as you observe all of the changes both big and small.The 8-bit art style for this game is very fun to look at and are only a quarter of the charm. Each character has it's own personality, from the Elderly couple at metaphorical war with eachother to lovely woman in red who is absolutely infatuated with an accomplished luchadore. All of the pieces fit together in the best possible way in my own oppinion.The control scheme for this game is very simple but also awkward.Enter = InventoryArrow Keys:Left + Right = MoveUp = JumpDown = Context ActionThough this game is very small and not meant to have a complex control scheme I think future games should include at least 2 control scheme options:WASDFandUp, Down, Left, Right, EnterIt's not a complaint by any means, just a suggestion for future endeavers by this studio with these types of games.Overall, I would recommend this game any time of day for people looking for a short, charming game that's hard to put down till the end.. What a cute game. Confusing at the moments, but I'll give it a pass.. A nice little puzzle game. There are many pros, but I find that talking about the cons would be a better selling point. For example, lots of backtracking between the years with a very maze like map, at least to me. It's like memorization. Annoying, but still fun. I wasn't a very big fan of the platforming aspect of it, but that's mostly because I suck at platforming in general. It took me literally like 5 minutes on average to beat each stage. Awful, isn't it? Overall, though, it was a very fun little game, and the objectives weren't really that hard to find. A definite casual, which I like, because I suck at gaming in general. I don't really "recommend" this game as much as want to say that it pretty much achieves what it wanted. Even if it could've wanted much much more.Tick Tock Isle is a pretty simplistic "puzzle" platforming game with very charming art style and music and a very basic concept of going back and forth in the timeline on a rather small island with a house. It wants to work as a time-travelling puzzle game where you solve issues by finding items in different timelines and fixing past, so the future is nicer, but it fails to do so in any kind of "clever way". Instead of you stumbling upon the issue, then figuring out how to solve it, you instead just go to a time, visit every room to see if you can find something, then visit every room again to see if you can have new interactions with whatever you found, go to the different time and repeat the process. There are few "puzzles" that feel more like puzzles, but more often than not you just stumble upon achieving something rather than do it consciously.And that's really what bogs this game down. It could be a cute timetravelling game with slightly non-linear approach. Instead it's a very linear "something changed, go stumble upon what it was" thing that is cute, but not particularly interesting. Also, there are absolutely dreadful platforming mini-games which are simply not fun at all.Given how cheap it is, how charming the style is and since it takes about an hour to complete the game, you might give it a go. But otherwise, I'd rather see the developers do something more interesting with this concept in the future.. Great snack-sized game. Charming characters and dialog.. This was an amazing game, I loved it! However, as someone who doesn't play a lot of platformers, I have to warn other amateur platformers that you will need patience and perserverance to get through! 9/10
